Liquid Web Brand Refinement

Brand refinement done for Liquid Web, including new illustration guidelines. 

Liquid Web and several other properties were rolled into one brand during an acquisition. Although Liquid Web served as the main brand and face, the branding was left disjointed across the experience and needed tightening and unifying.

After accessing the needs of the team a flexible and easy to use illustration system was created. This allowed all team members to feel comfortable creating assets to use across channels.

Educational materials such as ebooks, along with content highlighting Liquid Web’s core products, utilize illustrations heavily featuring the wireframe style and a unique color palette.

“UI Bits” are used to communicate product benefits and add value.

Photography is often featured in marketing as well as on site. New guidelines were established, moving away from overtly stock photos and instead opting for clean candid photography with brighter + more neutral lighting.

Results: Overall traffic and purchase activity have improved — sessions rose nearly 3%, Add to Carts grew 19%, and Purchases increased 11%, demonstrating stronger conversion behavior.
